"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened"
- Anatole France -
My name is Alexandra and as long as I can remember I have always LOVED animals.
When I was not running around with our dogs or riding, my father had to carry me on his back, playing the horse.
I began riding when I was 5 years old and horses have thought me, and continues to teach me, a lot about life and relationships.
Today, I am the proud and happy owner of 2 quarter-horses mares (Lilwhiz and Biggie), 2 Gotlands Russ (Sleipnir "Loulou"and Fenrisulven "Riri") a mini Australian shepherd (Freya), 3 adorable rescue dogs (Fiona, Maria and Sebbe) and 2 amazing cats (Lassa Lady and Felix Ebola).
After my studies, 2 years in a vet school then a Masters degree in Molecular Life Science, I worked a few years in a company where we were doing Research and Development in human health.
But something essential was missing and I was very unhappy.
I lacked the ability to combine my love for animals with the possibility to make people happy. I was very depressed for a long time and so one day I had to take action if I wanted to really LIVE my life.
Gotland's animal bakery came to life after a few different steps and I really hope you will find something that will enrich your life, as well as the life of your dog, cat and/or horse!
Gotlands djurbageri helps Libras Hundhjälp. Help us help dogs and other animals. Through amazing Yllkè and Sebastian, the founders of Libras Hundhjälp, I had the opportunity to adopt my lovely Fiona, Maria and Sebbe.
